The Goal:
To win the game, we have to score more goals than the other team.
This happens in two ways:
- We out-score our opponents by having a better OFFENSE than them.
- We out-defend our opponents by having a better DEFENSE than them.
At one extreme, with both teams only playing offense, the score might be 15-14.
At the other extreme, with both teams defending really well, we might end up with a 0-0 tie.
Ideally, we want to win both on OFFENSE and DEFENSE.
