Keys To Success
- Keep your head and eyes up. You should be constantly scanning the ice.
- Keep your feet moving when you do the drills. We very rarely stickhandle on the ice while we are standing still.
- Every few stickhandles you should bring the puck back to a good forehand passing or shooting position. This position is often called having the puck in your hip pocket.
- One of the main goals of stickhandling is to protect the puck. Keep thinking about how you can keep your body between your opponent and the puck while you are practising.
