Protocols
1. Please download and use the RAMP Team app to RSVP for each practice and game prior to coming to the rink. When you RSVP, you will be prompted with the COVID screening questions. This will speed things up when you arrive at the rink.
(If you can’t access the RAMP Team app, you should verbally complete the OWHA COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire below BEFORE you come to the arena. Do NOT bring the paper copy of the screening as we want to minimize the things we touch.)
If you have ANY concern, please stay home.
2. When you arrive, you MUST verbally check in with the team COVID Monitor. This could be a different person at each session. Players should check in FIRST so they can get their skates on. When all players are finished, parents can check in.
3. For Morgan Firestone Rink A, enter using the rear doors (baseball field parking). For Rink B, enter using the front doors (Jerseyville).
4. Bring and wear a mask. Masks are REQUIRED at all times inside all facilities. Players and coaches do not need to wear a mask while on the ice. Please wear your mask outside the facility as well when you are around other people. Everyone is expected to bring their own mask.
5. Physical distancing is required at all times.
6. Players may only arrive at the arena 15 minutes prior to ice time. Unless otherwise instructed, if you arrive earlier, please wait in the parking lot.
7. Players should come at least partially dressed as the change rooms will not be accessible. Morgan has chairs for the girls to tie their skates. The girls can come in carrying their (helmet, skates and gloves, pads) and a smaller bag so they have a clean place to store their masks. Hockey bags are strongly discouraged.
8. Each player should bring their own, clearly labelled, water bottle. Bottles should be filledbefore coming to the rink. Some arenas may have bottle filling stations. Bottles cannot beshared.
9. Only one parent per player. City personnel are also collecting contact tracing information from parents that they will sign at the monitor table. Parents will have specific viewing areas and are not permitted in the lobby area.
10. As an extra safety measure, we are recommending that all players, coaches and family members install and use Canada’s free exposure notification app – COVID Alert (download from the app store for iOS or Android)
Please familiarize yourself with the Ancaster Avalanche Girls Hockey Association COVID-19 Response Protocol on the association’s COVID-19 Information page.
